The Schwartz Dialysis Center at St. Mary’s Medical Center and Palm Beach Children’s Hospital is an AHCA certified, hospital-based dialysis unit. Backed by more than 30 years of experience, our multidisciplinary team of nephrologists, nurses, technicians, social workers and dietitians provides a full range of services for optimal management of acute and chronic renal (kidney) failure.

Comprehensive Dialysis Services
Inpatient:
24-hour hemodialysis
24-hour peritoneal dialysis
Pediatric Services:
Inpatient and outpatient hemodialysis is provided by a specialized pediatric nephrologist and skilled nurses on-staff at the Palm Beach Children’s Hospital. Peritoneal dialysis services are also available when needed.
Our multidisciplinary team provides continuous support and meets monthly to review and update each patient’s individual treatment plan. Specialized care includes:
Highly-skilled nurses and certified technicians.
A full-time dietitian who provides dietary counseling for nutrition, as well as fluid and weight management.
Full-time social worker - provides resources and assistance to support patients and families adjusting to end stage renal disease. Our social worker also helps patients maximize social function, as well as facilitates referrals to community, private, state and federal agencies based on psychosocial needs.
A peritoneal dialysis program that provides home evaluation visits, one-on-one training and education, and development of an individualized plan of care.
