Visitors who have flu-like symptoms, an infection or a contagious disease are asked not to come to the hospital to visit a patient until they are well.
Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) season
Florida has one of the longest RSV seasons in the United States, typically lasting from September to March. During this time, children under the age of 12 may not be able to visit patients in the hospital. RSV causes mild, cold-like symptoms but can be
serious and even life-threatening to babies and patients with compromised immune systems.
