Tenet Palm Beach Health Network Celebrates and Honors Healthcare Heroes for National Nurses Week

May 6, 2021

Palm Beach County, FL – Tenet’s six Palm Beach Health Network hospitals, Delray Medical Center, Good Samaritan Medical Center, Palm Beach Children’s Hospital, Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center, St. Mary’s Medical Center, and West Boca Medical Center, are proud to honor nurses during National Nurses Week, May 6-12. This week is an annual celebration recognizing the critical role nurses perform in our hospitals and for our community.

“We are grateful to all of our nurses and humbled by the hard work they do every day,” said Maggie Gill, chief executive officer of the Palm Beach Health Network. “This week is about paying tribute to nurses and the impact they have on peoples’ lives. The Palm Beach Health Network recognizes the strong commitment, compassion, expertise and care our nurses’ display every day. Now more than ever, they make a difference in the lives of our community.”

National Nurses Week is celebrated annually to coincide with the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. Like Nightingale, nurses serve with passion and dedication, fighting for their patients against a pandemic for the past year. Today, as Nightingale did in her time, these nurses represent a profession of advocacy and strength and are respected for their professionalism and devotion to their patients, their families and for each other.
