After a shark bite, how doctors determine what type of shark it was

Dec 14, 2022
Remember Jasmine, the 10-year-old girl bit by a shark on her foot? She left our care Dec.1 , able to put some weight on her leg and in good spirits.

WPTV interviewed Dr. Robert Borrego, who is St. Mary’s medical director of the trauma center. With the help of his work, they had a good idea of the type of shark that bit her and the kind of antibiotic to give to Jasmine to help prevent infection.
